I have been following a breeder in Belgium with some very nice Border pups since last year. I originally saw some videos of Ru working and thought he was amazing, especially for such a young age. He is quick, stylish, and a natural on reading the stock. He has a natural trainability and biddability that I love in a Border Collie. Then I saw some amazing pups by Ru, in both herding and agility homes. Almost every dog I admire at shows are already closely related to mine, so seeing multiple from him really caught my eye, so I decided to get on a waiting list to get a pup out of him. When he went up for sale, I knew I wanted him. Importing Ru was the first time we have imported a dog (unless you include Canada), so it was a big jump for us. Ru is a trained sheepdog and has started trialing and doing amazing. I had never owned a competitive sheepdog of his scale before, so I had planned to have a handler for him. Unfortunately, due to Covid, Ru's herding career came to a standstill, but he is playing at sports until he can start trialing again. Ru LOVES water, even if it is below freezing outside. He is great with all the dogs he meets. He likes playing with toys, but would rather herd the other dogs while they retrieve toys. Ru has sired multiple pups throughout the world and has produced some amazing herding and sport dogs. Ruari will continue his lines through Encore, Firefly, Matrix, Nox, Riley, and Blaze.

Herding
|
Ru was raised and trialed in Europe where he was amazing and very competitive. There are multiple YouTube videos of him trialing and herding in Europe. Ru has stunning style, is a natural at reading stock and strong enough to handle difficult stock. Due to Covid, his trialing career came to a standstill, but he may still go out with a handler once the Pandemic is under control again.

Dock Dog
|
Ruari has started his Dock career and is killing it right away. This boy lives for water and was a natural for this sport. With no training from us, he was jumping in the pool from the dock and from the outside of the pool. With training, he learned some nice tracking, pop, and air retrieve. He is still growing with each competition and has some great numbers with minimal jumping.

Disc
|
Ruari is a natural at frisbee although he decides to take an occasional victory lap after he catches his disc. He is very fast and has a natural grip. He is still perfecting reading the disc if it hooks at all, but has an amazing catch rate if they don't hook. He transferred from rollers to catches in only a few lessons. He does much better on catches than rollers, which he tends to bowl over at full speed. He has great potential and at this time is being run by two of our kids, Jordan and Tyler.
