Meet Jetta! Jetta was the very first puppy that we kept that was homebred. Jetta is an amazingly sweet girl with a great structure and amazing trainability. She has easily been the most trainable setter we have ever owned. She was such a fun puppy that made us laugh more than we thought possible with her antics. Jetta has started becoming more competitive in agility and would have finished her NATCH (only 2 more chances Qs), but Lynette had to scale back on trialing. When young, she would either fly around the course or get a scent and refuse to work at all. Finding birds was always her number one priority. When told she had to stay in the agility field she would pout, but as she has gotten older she has started liking agility more and became a fairly consistent partner. Jetta was not bred much, but we fell in love with a petite female in her litter and decided to keep her daughter, Kia. The litter was an amazing cross and they have thrived in the fields and as pets. Jack, who runs with Ben Garcia of Hideaway Kennels has many wins to his name and is proving himself to be an amazing sire as well. Kia is also showing her skills as a competition dog and dam.

Jetta has become an accomplished flyball dog, being the first English Setter to hit the FMCh through HOBBES titles. In addition she is the high point earning dog for English Setters, which is a record that will most likely stand for many years. She was High pointed #4 out of all dogs for the 2007 racing year. Jetta could hit 4s one race and 6s the next. She never screwed up, but she was not consistent in her times. She never got tired and usually got her best times at the end of a weekend. She was voted the most annoying dog when traveling since she would be bouncing off the walls at the end of the day, driving the other dogs and people in the hotel room crazy. We learned to let her go out and run for a few hours of being in a kennel all day so she would actually sleep at night.

She is a great family dog with amazing hunting potential. She is a huge runner and lives to run full speed all day. People are always amazed at her endurance and speed in the field. Jetta lives to run. Jetta is an obedient, yet long range hunter. She trialed with Ben Garcia of Hideaway Kennels and he is quite impressed with her hunting prowess stating "Jetta has Blacksmith's nose and Sunstorm's legs". She only trialed for one weekend, but she was out and had pointed multiple birds before the others even had a scent. Jetta only hit a trial while she was training with Ben.
