Roary was our pick puppy from our Curry X Rhett litter. Although my least favorite puppy in the litter until 6 weeks old, she won us over in the end by showing the best drive, cuddliest nature, and nicest structure in the litter. Roary is a super sweet and cuddly puppy. She lives for belly rubs and cuddles. As far as Border Collies go, she is very mellow. She is the first puppy we have had that would just hang out all day and sleep on our legs. She is amazing with children and naturally gentle. She is a bit more barky than our other Borders and reminds me of an aussie when she is barking. She loves to play ball and tug. She has a natural bounce like Curry and loves air time and jumping into your arms. She hated the hard discs at first, but eventually decided she would play with one and hit her first disc competition on her first birthday. She loves the pool and is a natural at dock diving. Roary has started her agility training and loves learning new things. Roary is training in disc, dock diving, flyball, trick dog, and agility.

Disc
|
Roary loves to play disc. She is a bouncy girl that loves air time like Curry. She is Lynette's dog but since Lynette doesn't play much she only plays occasionally. She hit her first trial on her first birthday and is being handled by the whole family. Roary has had some amazing catches and is capable of competing with our best dogs, but is still building consistency with people other than Lynette. With only a couple of months of competing, she qualified and competed at the Triple Crown World Championship with Jordan and placed 10th place in the junior division, even after coming up lame in the second class and pulling from the third class. Had she not had a bad landing, she would have had a chance at first. She has competed at multiple UpDifs and has been on the podium multiple times. Despite being handled by 6 different handlers, she is slowly working her way up in points and high scores.

Dock Dog
|
Roary loves the water. She would swim all day if she could. She was jumping off the dock by the time she was 6 months old. She has started competing and did great her first year out, finished her Junior Champion in her first year. She is still starting up close with no running start to get her to pop off the dock. Unfortunately, COVID stopped her second season from happening and we have not gotten back into dock diving. In practice she can hit 20-22' pretty consistently and has hit 23+ with a perfect throw.

Roary loves to learn and is a quick study. She earned her NTD before she was a year old and is close to the next 3 levels already. She will work for anyone for either treats or toys. She just loves the attention and loves to try new things.

Roary has started her flyball training later than planned due to COVID, but finally got to debut at 5 years old. She does not love flyball as much as she loves disc, but she is improving with time. She is very consistent with a nice turn, but only tries hard for Lynette, who hasn't been able to run her. At best she will likely hit low-mid 4s line to line.

Agility
|
Roary loves agility training, but will most likely not trial. She loves working the directionals and was improving with the distance and send out. Her focus is absolutely amazing and she is excellent at reading body cues, especially for discriminations. We switched from 2o2o to running contacts. Her A frame is not perfect, but she been very consistent with dog walk training. She picked up weaves easily, but does pop out at 10 occasionally. She is not our fastest dog, but is very consistent and trains very easily.
