​Pedigree

Mike is a gorgeous red male that came to us from 5H Farms in Montana. He did not have enough confidence or bite to work large numbers of range sheep, but has tons of ability in smaller flocks or trial work. He has beautiful style and biddability. He is great at reading stock and does great on dog broke stock. Renea had considered breeding Curry to him, so when he went up for sale we jumped at the opportunity. Mike is a very sweet boy that is amazing with people, kids, and dogs.  He has never met a stranger and believes that everyone loves him on the same level. He also believes that cats are scary although he has come around to living with multiple. Mike has beautiful structure that he passes onto his pups. He absolutely loves to herd and prefers herding the other dogs instead of playing ball or disc, but will play with toys when one on one. We hope to work on his toy drive and see how he does the next few years in sports. He also loves the water and may try out dock diving. Mike lives with Michelle and will be her first sport dog. Mike has sired some great pups that are excelling at herding and sports. His line will continue here at First Harmony Farms through Vivid, Ellie, Mowana, and Aria. 

Herding

Mike was raised on a sheep ranch, but lacked the bite required to work large amounts of sheep that are not dog broke. Although stylish when working and lots of herding drive, he lacked the confidence for head to head confrontations needed to work hard stock. So when he turned 2 he came to live with us. Mike may have some training on stock in the future, but it will most likely not be a main focus for him.
