Magic is a beautiful blue merle tri from Alta Vista Ranch. After seeing Bijou once, I knew I wanted a puppy out of her some day. She was the most beautiful and talented aussie I had ever met. After visiting the ranch and seeing her athletic ability, I knew we had to have one of her puppies. So we knew we would take a puppy from her first litter and Magic was that pick. Magic is an extremely bright and bouncy boy and extremely athletic. This boy is all muscle and can go nonstop all day. He naturally keeps himself lean and muscled. He loves to do the aussie bounce whenever he is excited. He clicker trained in minutes and loves to learn new things. He especially loves it when the clicker comes out to train with and goes into working mode. As crazy as he can be when playing, he is a complete couch potato in the house. He loves to cuddle and take it easy on the couch. He will willingly take a month off to just chill when the weather is bad. He is a soft boy that bows down to all of our dogs, but chases Strider incessantly. With his small size they all tolerate his puppy antics and he does his best to get everyone to play with him, even if they don't normally play with other dogs. Magic loves to play ball, frisbee, swim, and run with the pack. He is obsessed with water and loves breaking into the pool to swim. With his natural bounce, he can go over the side of any pool, even with the guard rails up. Magic is a lover and wins over everyone he meets. Magic has sired multiple litters at First Harmony Farms and has produced some amazing puppies that are thriving in conformation, sports, and pet homes. He lives on in our lines through his offspring Willo, Prim, Zoe, Fortune, Hope, Karma, Journey, Rocky, Secret, and Swagger.

Conformation
|
Magic has earned his AKC and MASCUSA Ch. He did start towards his Grand Ch, but due to some broken incisors, we do not plan to continue his Conformation career. He has a working coat in the summer, but very thick coat in the winter. He is moderate boned with beautiful angulation, layback, topline, chest, and neck. His ears are too long and his stop a little steep.

Dock Dog

Magic has started doing dock dog and has qualified for Nationals twice now. He was the #2 MAS in NADD for dock dog in 2016. His daughter, Willo was the #1 mini aussie again. He has managed to hit 20s multiple times in his career. He is obsessed with the pool and is always breaking in to swim.

Agility
|
Magic is an extremely athletic boy. He is a natural jumper and never takes a bar. He is extremely consistent and rarely makes mistakes. He listens very well and does beautiful at distance. His speed can vary a lot though. Sometimes he is amazingly fast and others he would rather go to where Strider is and try to get him to play. He does better when Strider isn't at trials, but this is very rare.

Disc
|
Magic started his disc career later in life at 7 years old. He hit his first disc competition with my son, Tyler who was 8 years old. He has never loved disc over his ball, but became jealous of the kids practicing disc with the other dogs. He decided to let him try Frizgility at a trial to see what he would do and he surprised us all, earning a High Five and getting great scores. His excitement level varies a lot from run to run, but when he is excited he is a very consistent dog and gets high scores for a dog his size. They have turned into a great team.

Flyball
|
Magic is a great flyball dog, running consistent 5s as the height dog, although he never maintains his box turn at tournaments. Hopefully, with more experience he will maintain his box and run in the 4s. He gives us a much slower run in practices, but gets more revved up at tournaments so his box tends to fall apart-anywhere from pivot to turning off the box loader. We pulled him a couple years to try to fix it and he improved some, but still doesn't maintain his nice box at tournaments. He runs fastest on a team with his best friend, Strider. Preferably right after him in the lineup.

Obedience
|
Magic loves obedience, but is sorely handicapped by his handler. He should finish his CD this year and can start in Open. He has already learned what he needs for Open and Utility, so I will try to at least take him that far. Since we only compete every few years, it may not happen. If only there were more weekends and local shows.

Magic loves Rally. He loves that I can talk to him throughout the exercises. We have only hit a couple shows, but we hope to at least finish his RE.

Therapy
|
Magic is an amazing therapy dog. He loves everyone and is always extremely gentle. He is a very soft boy and great at recognizing kids that are scared or shy and wins them over with his gentle demeanor.

Magic is great at learning new tricks like most aussies. He especially loves the action tricks. He has sired multiple pups that are earning trick dog titles.

High Jump

Magic has had one lesson at high jumping for Canine Stars shows. He is a natural jumper, but prefers to use his back legs to jump on the bar and push off again. Doubt we will ever do much high jumping, but he had fun trying it out once.

Herding
|
Magic has only gotten to try herding sheep a few times in his life. He has a ton of drive, confidence, and bite. With a few lessons he finally remembered how to listen and was getting good at taking directionals. He is better at driving than fetching from far distances. He did great working with difficult sheep and even fetching off a fence. He likes working in close quarters with them. He would have been fun to try on cattle if we had more time.

Magic has been a very versatile dog for us. He has the athletic ability to do most sports and is a very fun dog to compete with.
