Breeze is a Digit granddaughter sired by Cin and from Hillcrest Kennels. She is a very sweet girl that loves anyone she meets and will work for anyone. She is a very high drive girl that loves to work. She has an off button in the house but goes nonstop when outside. Breeze is not a soft BC like Digit. Breeze does take a bit more persistence to train due to having her own agenda when training for sports but is a natural when herding. Once trained she tends to blow the others out of the water with her athletic ability. She was a complete natural at dock diving and required no training there. She LOVES to swim and would spend the day in the pool if she could. Breeze lives for flyball and will run for anyone that is able to get a ball from her without losing fingers. Breeze does not have any self preservation in her body and we have to be careful that she doesn't kill herself. This is when playing ball, agility, Frisbee, and on stock. She will run into any obstacle in her path at full speed and doesn't ever slow down. She loves to play mind games on the other dogs, including hiding around the corner outside the dog door and snap at anyone else who tries to use it. Poor Kia refused to go outside as a puppy until we figured this one out. Even at 14 years old she would stalk the other dogs and loves scaring them by waiting around corners of the house. She will stalk anything that moves and is always busy. She also likes to dig every drop of water out of water bowls, so we now keep buckets tied up outside so the others can have water throughout the day. She also loves digging at the water in her baby pool, but doesn't do it at the lake or river. Breeze is no longer breeding, but has produced some amazing pups for flyball, agility, dock diving, herding, disk dog, and family pets. Breeze gave us Jamaica for our next generation of Border Collies.

Flyball
|
Breeze has turned into the flyball superstar on her team. She has rounded out to running 3.9 sec consistently with a few 3.8s thrown in. She can run any position and for any handler. At 9 years old, she is still hitting 3s with some 4s thrown in. The top pictures here are at a tournament as an 11 1/2 year old. Still consistently running 4s in the pack.

Dock Diving
|
Breeze started Dock Diving at 6 years old and is amazing. She hit 27 foot at the first fun dive she went to in a 35 foot pool. In NADD she consistently hits over 20 foot. She has placed at Nationals both years she jumped. She will jump for anyone or just by herself for the joy of jumpinng off the dock.

Agility
|
Breeze is amazing at agility, but has no self preservation so we do limited running with her. Breeze throws herself at contacts hard, hits the 2 on 2 off at full speed, takes bars if she goes full out, and has difficulties learning how to collect herself or slow down on turf. Slow is just not in her vocabulary. As she has aged she is less suicidal at agility and is trialing occasionally (usually at outside trials so she isn't sliding around so much). She is amazingly fast on course, but has a very limited trialing career.

Disc
|
Breeze has always been a natural at Disc. She lives for flying through the air for discs and her speed allows her to get the big throws consistently. Her only fault is that she doesn't like giving the disc back and will bite hands when they are holding a disc. She believes every disc is a tug toy and loves to kill every disc we own in the first session. She runs for Jawz Hyperflex now, which we don't throw or roll well, but has saved her bloody mouth a ton. She didn't hit her first competition until she was 11 1/2 with my daughter, Jordan, and she still did amazing. They have even qualified for Nationals. She not only qualified but cleaned house in the Junior Division with four 1st places and two 2nd places. Although she is beginning to slow and now has cataracts, she still loves to play with rollers and is still hitting personal bests at 14 years old.

Herding
|
Breeze is a natural when herding. On stock she is very calm with an amazing eye and ability to read stock. She is very calm when working and has been used on ducks, sheep, goats, and cattle. Even our trainer, who hates merles, fell in love wth her. She taught Stuart a ton about herding. Although they only hit one trial due to time constraints, they would have gone far if it had been our focus.

Trick Dog
|
Breeze had no problem getting trick dog titles, but she isn't easy to teach all tricks to. She is great at any action tricks, but holding still or slow tricks aren't her thing. She is full speed ahead at all times. We eventually managed a few calm moments and enough tricks that were fun for her.

Therapy
|
Breeze has only done a few therapy visits, but she is great at it. She loves attention and nothing bothers this girl. I do have to watch to make sure she doesn't jump up on people without permission, but everyone loves her.
