Shiver is our keeper at First Harmony Farms out of our Digit X Sooner litters. She has been a star pupil at FHF. She is a lover that lives to cuddle and is known for her smile. She is Lynette's constant shadow around the house and prefers human companionship to playing with the other dogs. She has never been shy or met a stranger in her entire life. She is ball obsessed like her mother and will play with her jolly ball or a tennis ball for hours. Shiver smiles at everyone and is a very soft girl. Shiver lives for playing with a sprinkler. At less than a year old she learned that she could puncture the hose leading to the sprinklers so she could have a sprinkler all day while we were at work rather than on our timer schedule. We had always had sprinklers on a timer for the dogs every few hours while we were at work until she came along and destroyed even the best, puncture proof hoses. She will listen to anyone and is great at teaching new handlers in any sport. Shiver is a soft dog that takes very little in correction and is very submissive to other dogs. She is a tiny girl like her dam, Digit. Shiver learns things amazingly fast. When she started in agility, she would make everyone laugh on the lead out as she would offer as many behaviors as she could think of on the start line rather than just sitting still. Shiver's line continues with Echo and Windy.

Agility
|
Shiv's agility training has been a breeze and she seems to have been born knowing how to do it. She has taught us a ton about agility and handling. She is a natural jumper that loves distance and follows every tiny movement of the body with ease. She tends to prefer distance and I am still learning to keep out of her space. She is extremely quick twitch and can make up for many of my mistakes on the field. She must read the maps before going in, as she usually makes up for all of Lynette’s mistakes on the courses.

Flyball
|
In flyball, Shiver is a superstar at practice. I trained her on my own and although she can hit 3.8 in practice, she stresses in the loud tournament environment and does not show her speed there. She has hit 4.1s at tournaments, but can also be a 5.0 second dog if the other dogs are talking smack at her. She also won't maintain a box in a tournament setting, always turning towards the other dog instead, so her flyball career is fairly minimal.

Dock Dog
|
Shiver is a great dock diver, jumping in the senior division. She has always enjoyed swimming and took to it right away. She is a fairly flat jumper and would do better if we could get a little bit more jump up rather than out. She even qualified for Nationals in NADD her first 2 years out.

Shiver loves playing Frisbee. She does amazing at distance and will do some up close tricks. She is not as huge into air time as some of our other dogs, so the throw has to be just perfect for her to launch for it. It is never too late to teach an old dog new tricks, so at 9 1/2 years old she hit her first competition. She is competing with both Jordan and Tyler and even managed two 2nd places. She has also become a favorite for Levi and Kiera to compete with. Since all 4 kids fight over competing her, she will only be able to do a few classes with each of them. At 10 years old, she can't do every class with all 4 kids, although she would love to try.

|
Shiver enjoys doing Obedience and Rally and has shown in Rally a few times. The stand for exam in Obedience is hard for her since she always rolls to her back when people pet her.

Trick Dog
|
Shiver is amazing at trick dog. She picks up on things very fast and loves to learn. The hardest part I have had with her training is her trying to anticipate everything before I ask. We aren't always both working on the same thing.

Shiv is also an occasional therapy dog and loves everyone she meets. She is very gentle natured and can win over any person she meets.

|
Shiv has very nice style on livestock and likes herding when the stock is dog broke. She does not have the strength or confidence for stock that isn't dog broke.

Shiver has had one lesson in high jump and did well. There is definitely room for improvement. She was definitely confused by the concept of one jump and was always trying to find the next obstacle.
