Digit is Lynette's soulmate that spends all day under her desk. Although not our first Border Collie, she was the first one we wanted to clone, so Digit is the beginning of our Border Collie line up here. She is a sweet lover girl and a small, fine-boned Border Collie. She is a high drive dog who is very talented in everything that we do together. Digit is a lover and Lynette's constant shadow. Digit lives for a tennis ball and sprinkler. If those were the only things she could play with, she would still die a happy dog.  She is the dog that trained Lynette to turn the sprinkler on every few hours so she could get her exercise in. This eventually resulted in us buying a timer for the sprinkler so she could play in the sprinkler for half an hour every few hours. We always have the best watered lawns in town. Digit also  loves to play disc dog and dock dog but there are never enough weekends in the month so we never manage to compete. The thing we love the most about Digit is her Versatility, excelling in Flyball, Agility, Obedience, Rally, Dock Dog, Trick Dog and more.  Digit is willing to do anything that we want to do. Digit hit a major Career milestone becoming the 15th dog (7th Border Collies) in North America to earn 100,000 points in NAFA Flyball (The Hobbes Award). Digit's pups have proven themselves in flyball, agility, obedience, rally, herding, disc dogs, high jumping,  superdogs, dock dogs, herding, therapy dogs, and as perfect companions. These versatile pups are exactly what we have been hoping to breed for and we thank their owners for all they do with their dogs. We have used multiple of Digit's offspring in our own breeding program, including Shiver, Cin, and Sue.

Flyball

Digit was a star in flyball, consistently running 4.1-4.2 until she was 10 years old. Flyball was always her sport of choice and what she lived for. She will run for anyone, any position, and with any dog. Digit lived for flyball in her younger days and continued to train our new dogs until her body couldn't handle it anymore. At 14 years old, she still runs along the lanes with them in training and gets them used to a lot of barking while they run. Digit hit a major Career milestone becoming the 15th dog (7th Border Collie) in North America to earn 100,000 points in NAFA Flyball (The Hobbes Award).

Dock Dog

Digit was 12 when we tried dock dog for the first time. No huge distances, but she had a blast playing. She loves swimming and diving so it was a great sport to add in as she got too old for some of the other sports.

Agility

Digit has started a new agility career and she is training Lynette and Stuart how to be handlers. She is an amazing starter dog, learning things very easily and making up for all of our handling mistakes. Digit is a natural jumper, quick twitch, and light footed girl. Digit earned her NATCH in agility and taught Lynette how to handle distance so she could go on to multiple NATCHes with her other dogs as well.

Obedience

Digit earned her CD and CDX with some very high scores and almost taking a HIT a few times. We went to 1 class with a trainer that tried to do a forced retrieve with Digit. Unfortunately, even that 1 try was enough to ruin obedience with Digit. Her dumbbell retrieve was the same as before, but she quit doing long sits and would always down. She also lost a lot of her excitement on retrieve. Once we switched places to train as well, we got her back on track, but our hopes of going on to OTCH were lost at that point. She much preferred sports to obedience, so we added some more sports for fun.

Rally

Digit earned her RAE in Rally, earning multiple perfect scores and many 1st place ribbons. She loves learning new things, so Rally was  a great deal of fun for her since it had some new exercises that you don't see in Obedience or sports.

Therapy

Digit is an amazing therapy dog. She did quite a few nursing home visits in her younger years. Later in life, she did mostly school and library visits. She is an amazingly sweet girl that loves everyone and is naturally very gentle with people and other animals.

Herding

Digit is average for a herding border collie and does not love it as she does the sports so we never went past her few weeks of training for her first competition. She would have made a great herding dog for a small, dog broke herd. She earned her first title easily in one weekend with beautiful scores. She never had the strength and bite that would have been needed for a large herd, cattle, or hard headed stock.

Trick Dog

Digit did not officially start her trick training until later in life, although she had learned so many tricks that the titles were easy for her. We were working towards her Ch Trick title, but some of the tricks were too hard at her age, so we decided that she would stick with the tricks she already knows. Everyone loves the basics when it comes to tricks. We'll save the harder tricks for the next generation.

Versatility

Digit is an amazingly versatility. Her only limitations were us. She thrived at anything in her path. She loves doing anything together, even though flyball has always been her favorite.
