These are the adult dogs available for homes. Some of these dogs are ones that were born here and others are ones that may just be passing through. We try to focus on our breeds, but have rescued a huge variety of breeds over the years due to different reasons. We do not always have adults available, but do commonly know of adults available others than the ones we take in. Surrender Form Adoption Contract

Bella-Brittany Spaniel $200 7 Year old spayed Brittany Spaniel 26# Relinquished with Mia and Lily Bella is an extremely bouncy and athletic Brittany. She loves to hop in the air when excited, which is a lot. She is tiny compared to her sisters but can take care of herself when the big dogs harass her too much. She loves to play and is VERY food motivated, but has not shown any treat or food aggression since being here. She is quick to learn for food and fears nothing. She is solid muscle and in amazing shape. The oldest of the three sisters, Bella instinctively takes dominance around the house and every situation they get themselves into. She is very active, and loves to get out and run whenever she gets the chance. Though never used for, or properly trained for hunting, she is very interested in just about every other animal. She will sit outside all day and chase birds, rabbits, and squirrels; constantly pointing and staring at them in the trees. She has a very short attention span, and will only play fetch and other games for a few minutes, before being ready to move on to the next thing. After her initial burst of energy has been exhausted, she is obedient to sit, stay, down, etc. When free range without a fence, she does enjoy a long run chasing animals, so a fenced yard is a must. While indoors, she is very interested in everything you are doing and always likes to be in the same room. She is also mischievous and likes to find ways in getting into the trash or anything else that may have food in it. Though highly energetic, she has no problem lying around all day while you are out of the house. When you are away, she is both accustomed to running free, as well as being kenneled. She is used to being alone for up to 10 hours a day, though she does like a potty break sometime during the day. No health issues or food preferences. She is microchipped, which has been used on 2 separate occasions to get her back home. Bella does not have a very strict feeding or potty schedule, as their owner works in public service and works various hours both day and night. She does need to eat two times a day, about 12 hours a part; otherwise she does get an upset stomach. She is very good with other dogs and children, but never been around cats. All three dogs are well house trained, and very quick to learn. Currently, they have been trained to only have access to certain parts of the house without the need of any gates or barriers. Very rarely, if ever, do they have accidents in the house, and when they do, it’s because they were left alone for 10+ hours without being able to get outside.
Mia-Brittany Spaniel 5 Year Old Spayed Female Brittany Spaniel Lives with Bella and Lily At 5 years old, Mia is still a puppy at heart. She loves to play and stay active. While outside, she gets very bored if she does not have another dog to play with, or stimulation with fetch or another game. If able, she would play fetch all day long. Mia enjoys as much attention as possible. She is always at your feet and needing to be touched. When walking around outside or in the house, you will always have a shadow following you around. When sleeping, she feels the need to always be touching or lying on top of you. When not getting adequate attention, especially outside, she likes to bark to let you know she is still there. Mia is very obedient off leash, and a very fast learner. She is great with other animals, as well as children. Mia has a very specific diet, and cannot have any human food. She has several food allergies and gets an upset stomach when she doesn’t eat twice a day. Hearty toys are a must, as she loves to chew and play. Any stuffed animals or toys will be destroyed very quickly. When home alone, she is mostly accustomed to being in a kennel, however, has been out and does fine so long as she has toys to keep her occupied. She has been known to chew up a blanket or pillow if left alone for too long.
