Strider is the first male at First Harmony Farms. He was chosen for his high drive, beautiful structure, and herding lines. The first video of his litter showed him tugging the entire play time and ignoring everything else. Even as a baby he showed how trainable he was-clicker, sit, down, beg, wave, and shake by 8 weeks old. Even though we did not want a red merle (we had requested black or red), he fit what we were looking for perfectly so we decided he would fit in here perfectly. He had many more tricks and was potty trained by 10 weeks. Strider is a breeze to train. He loves to please and always works hard. He was a very serious and wise puppy, only occasionally showing his puppy side when he would play with his tail, a game he still plays. He was running our house by 12 weeks old. He is very athletic and quick twitch. Strider LOVES to herd the rest of the pack or anything else he can find to herd. His herding drive is amazing. Strider is a casanova extroirdinaire and loves giving hugs and kisses. He is amazing with the kids and strangers. Strider is a naturally clean dog and rarely requires any grooming. Strider is from herding lines. He has had a few lessons and showed amazing potential. He has a natural pick up and would work great distance even at 8 months. He has push when needed but was not overly aggressive. We hope to find a new trainer here in IL to continue his herding training. He is starting his flyball training and is looking great. Strider has just started trialing in agility and is just starting to get some Qs. Strider will also do an occasional obedience and rally trial when I am going with the others. More to come on this pup over the next year and we see how he holds up in the ring.
